| Computer Visualization |
 |
Visualization is the process of "seeing" the project in its final form as it is being designed. Thorp Associates uses three-dimensional computer modeling and rendering to help with the visualization of many projects. |

| Automating Drafting Tasks |
 |
With additional programming, the functionality of the CAD software used by Thorp Associates can be extended to automate repetitive, complex or tedious drawing tasks. Thorp Associates has created a number of these "macros" to greatly increase efficiency and visual quality. |

| Drafting Interface Design |
 |
While computer hardware, operating systems, and other types of software have evolved drastically in the past 25 years, CAD remains largely based on archaic programming languages and lingo. The software illustrated here was created by Joe Calvin, AIA, a Thorp Associates partner, in the attempt to influence the future development and direction of CAD products. |

| Design Interface Design |

Joe Calvin is also continually exploring with ways of utalizing computer technology to facilitate the design process. For the purposes of demonstration, Joe has developed some of his ideas and concepts into working examples. |

| Thorp Associates Exchange |
 |
Efficiency and accuracy in the collection, distribution and archiving of all office data and information is greatly facilitated by the introduction in 2004 of TA eXchange. Developed and programmed in-house by Thorp Associates partner Joe Calvin, TA eXchange greatly facilitates the accurate and efficient sharing and distribution of office information. From composing and distributing phone messages, to searching contact and project archives, to recording daily time sheets, TA eXchange is an extensive management tool used by all Thorp Associates staff. |
